Lion Air accident
Hi everyone! Have you seen the news about the Lion Air flight accident in Bali?
Luckily no people die and it seems not so much serious injuries also. Authorities are investigating the accident in order to discover if it’s only been a fatality or the pilot or Lion Air company have some fault.
But the question now is: Lion Air is a secure flight company and we can trust to use it, or their safety policies are too weak? Of course flight accident can always happen, and it had been happened lot of time before to other companies, but voices on Lion Air weak safety policies are not coming out just today. Lion Air is investing and growing a lot in the last years, but still don’t have permission to fly in USA or Europe.
We are not experts of flight security, we can just tell you our experience and what people told us about their own experience. We just used Lion Air few times, last time was in a flight from Jakarta to Bali. Actually our experience was not so bad. The flight was in time and quite comfortable, the staff were nice; only the landing not really soft, but there was little bit of wind that could have caused it.
Of course the choice is up to you, we don’t have any issue by now to say that you cannot trust Lion Air. As we said before, our experience with them was quite nice.Other people told us that their experience with Lion Air was worse and it is a company that is better to not trust.
We will see what will come out from the investigation. Maybe next time when we will go to Bali from Jakarta we will prefer to use another company. Maybe it will cost little bit more, but we care about safety and we like to have the feeling to fly safe (maybe just the feeling…).
